March is a special month at Sanctuary. As we celebrate women and the strength, compassion, and leadership they bring into our world, we are proud to shine a light on some of the incredible women who make Sanctuary what it is today.
Behind every treatment room door, every warm welcome at the front desk, and every glowing client leaving our spa, there are passionate and talented women who truly care.

Lindsay
Burlington
For Lindsay, the love of beauty started early. As a child, she remembers rummaging through her grandmother’s makeup drawers, testing perfume samples and cosmetics with excitement and curiosity. What began as childhood fascination eventually became a career path.
While studying at Sheridan College, she frequently heard Sanctuary Day Spas mentioned as one of the top spas in the area. When a classmate who worked at the front desk helped her secure an interview, everything aligned. The rest is history.
To Lindsay, wellness means balance. When you take care of yourself, you are better able to care for others in a calm and welcoming way. She believes that self care is essential, not indulgent. Her advice to women is simple and powerful. Make time for yourself and do not feel guilty about it. Creating a habit of putting yourself first, even occasionally, can truly make a difference.

Aksana
Vaughan
Aksana joined Sanctuary in 2010 after moving to Vaughan. While working at the spa inside the Windsor Arms Hotel, one of her loyal clients mentioned how much she loved Sanctuary. That recommendation stayed with her. She submitted her resume and soon found her new professional home.
For Aksana, personal wellness means being physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy. She strives to remain calm, compassionate, and honest with every client she serves. After nineteen years in the industry, she has built lasting friendships and meaningful bonds with her guests. When something exciting happens in their lives, she feels genuine happiness alongside them.
She believes women need to listen to one another, support each other emotionally, and help one another through everyday challenges. Supporting women means encouraging them, cheering them on, and celebrating their successes. You can feel that energy the moment you walk into Sanctuary. Our team truly feels like a family.

Kateryna
Newmarket
Kateryna has always been drawn to the spa and wellness industry because of its connection to wellbeing and health. After researching different career paths, she chose esthetics because it offered a versatile and impactful way to help people feel their best both physically and mentally.
For her, wellness is the perfect balance between physical and mental health. She believes esthetic services can bring both into harmony.
One of her proudest moments at Sanctuary was being promoted to Head of Esthetics. In this role, she trains newly hired estheticians and shares her knowledge and experience. It is a rewarding position that comes with responsibility, and she embraces the challenge. Teaching others inspires her to continue learning and growing in her own career.
She describes the Sanctuary team as perfectly aligned puzzle pieces. Each person is unique, yet together they fit seamlessly. There is respect, support, and genuine care between all team members.
Her advice is heartfelt and practical. Always find time for yourself, even if it is only five or ten minutes a day. Use that time to do something that makes you happy, whether it is reading, enjoying a simple skincare routine, or watching your favorite show. Those small daily moments matter more than we realize.
At Sanctuary, we are more than a spa. We are a community of strong, supportive women who believe in balance, growth, and lifting one another up. This month and every month, we celebrate the women behind the wellness.
